Meet our Director
Faraji Abram Sr., a San Francisco native, was shaped by his strong values of faith and family. From a young age, he was passionate about basketball and committed to serving his community. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School and furthered his education at several colleges, including Skyline, San Francisco City College, and Livingston College. His basketball journey began in high school and extended through college, eventually leading him into coaching.
In 2005, he started coaching with the nonprofit San Francisco Rebels and later coached at Sacred Heart Cathedral, helping win two Northern California Championships. He joined SFUSD in 2013 to support at-risk youth and became Head Varsity Coach and Athletic Director at Thurgood Marshall High School. In 2024, he became the owner of the San Francisco Rebels and continues to lead as a dedicated husband, father of twelve, and grandfather of five.
Community Events
More Than Basketball. Stronger Together.
Community involvement is at the heart of everything we do. At the San Francisco Rebels, we believe that true success is measured not only by what we accomplish on the court, but by the positive impact we make beyond it.
Our players proudly serve alongside local organizations by marching in San Francisco's Juneteenth Parade, volunteering with City Eats Food Distribution to help provide meals to families in need, participating in the San Francisco Fire Department (SFFD) Bike Day Distribution, and spreading holiday joy through the Golden State Warriors Christmas Day Giveaway.
These experiences teach our athletes the value of service, gratitude, compassion, and leadership while creating lifelong memories and strengthening their connection to the community they represent.
We're not just developing basketball players—we're developing community leaders who understand the importance of giving back, lifting others up, and leaving every place better than they found it.
Because we're building something bigger than basketball.

Compete at the Next Level
Our players compete in 1–3 local tournaments each month while earning the opportunity to play in premier events throughout Sacramento, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. From local competition to nationally recognized showcases, every tournament provides valuable experience, high-level competition, and opportunities to grow both on and off the court.
We're committed to giving every athlete the chance to compete, develop, and create unforgettable memories against some of the best talent on the West Coast.
